Welcome to the new Double Scoop Podcast! Each month, we’ll have a new guest host and a new theme. In July, DJ and podcaster Prince Nesta interviews people connected with Artown events. Our first guest is artist Mary Lee Fulkerson, founder of Great Basin Basketmakers and author of several books including Women Artists of the Great Basin.

On July 6, Fulkerson, photographer Susan Mantle and several of the artists in their book will gather at the Northwest Reno Library, 2325 Robb Drive, from 1-3 p.m. for a conversation about their work. Their exhibition is on view through Aug. 31.

Huge thanks to Reno singer/songwriter Greg Gilmore for letting us use his song “Who Am I” in the podcast. To keep up on Gilmore’s music and events, follow him here.
