This week, Melissa Melero-Moose, co-founder of the Great Basin Native Artists, talks about the ongoing challenges Indigenous artists face in gaining visibility and recognition.
Melissa’s work will be featured in AH’-WAH-NEE, an exhibition and symposium celebrating the work of Native American women artists. The exhibition will be on view at the Donna Beam Gallery at UNLV from Nov. 1- Dec. 10. The symposium will take place Nov. 4-5 at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art Auditorium and the Paul Harris Theatre. More info here.
