Ears of corn in bright-colored condoms. Olives in a lipstick tube. These are among the unlikely objects that UNR MFA candidate Birdy McCray has seen in her dreams and brought to fruition in wall sculptures and digital installations.

Birdy McCray’s work is part of Digitally Deciphered, Physically Ephemeral, a group show with Luke Rizzotto and David Delfin on view at Sierra Arts in downtown Reno through April 1, with a reception from 12-4 pm March 18.
Her thesis show, False Awakening, will be on view April 17-26 at UNR’s Student Galleries South in the Jot Travis Building. She’ll give a talk on dreams and art in the gallery at 5 pm on April 20.
