Nevada has a new recovery grant

The State of Nevada is now accepting applications from nonprofits for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) State Fiscal Recovery Funds. The deadline is Jan. 3. More info here.

 

 

Las Vegas needs art volunteers

The Office of Cultural Affairs in Las Vegas is seeking volunteers to assist with arts programming. Jobs include ushering, festival assistance, marketing, leading gallery tours, and administrative work. Applicants must be 18 or over. You can learn more and apply here.

 

BRX applications open soon

Applications for the Nevada Arts Council’s Basin to Range Exchange (BRX) program, intended to promote collaboration among the state’s urban and rural arts and culture organizations, opens Dec. 28. The program involves a gathering in Tonopah April 18-20, ongoing peer support, and exchanges between communities. Some organizations may also be selected for the FY23 BRX Target of Opportunity Grant. Applications open for NMA’s STEAM conference

Applications are open for the Nevada Museum of Art’s 2022 NV STEAM Conference for educators. The theme is Constructing Creativity. The conference will be presented virtually, beginning with a keynote on Wednesday, Feb. 2 and an additional keynote and breakout workshops on Saturday, Feb. 5. Registration info here.

 

Accolades for Ah’-Wah-Nee

A recent UNLV Arts newsletter announced, “The City of Las Vegas presented a certificate of recognition to ‘AH’-WAH-NEE’ Exhibition curator Fawn Douglas during the Dec. 9 closing reception at the Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery.” Congratulations to Fawn, the Donna Beam Gallery, UNLV Arts, and everyone involved!
