NAC announces new grants

The Nevada Arts Council has announced its Fiscal Year 2022 grants, including two American Rescue Plan grants. Applications for most of the grants will open July 1, and there NAC is holding virtual workshops to review the programs 5:30-6:30 pm June 29 and 1-2 pm June 30. Register for the June 29 webinar here. Reno awards more CARES Act funding

On June 9, the City of Reno approved a second round of CARES Act pandemic relief funding to the following organizations:

Animarte — $10,000

Collateral & Co. — $2,500

The Generator — $10,000

Girls Rock Reno — $5,000

Kid Rocker — $10,000

Nevada Music Educators Association — $2,500

Northern Nevada Rural Concert Initiative — $2,500

reNEW Music — $4,100

Reno Jazz Orchestra — $10,000

Reno Pops Orchestra — $3,000

Tahoe Chamber Music Society — $2,500

NEA announces new grants

On June 23, the National Endowment for the Arts announced new grant program guidelines to distribute approximately $80 million in American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds directly to nonprofit arts and culture organizations and to local arts agencies to subgrant into communities across the country. Applicants do not need to be previous NEA grantees to be eligible to apply. More info here.
