Shuttered venues grant portal to reopen tomorrow

The Small Business Administration announced today that the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant application portal will re-open tomorrow, Saturday, April 24, at 9:30 am. The portal initially launched on April 8 but closed the same day due to technical issues. The portal is intended to help operators of independent theaters and other venues access portions of the $16 billion relief package that Congress allocated to the arts industry in December

Sparks looks to fill art board vacancy

The Sparks Arts and Culture Advisory Committee has a vacancy open for a partial term ending Nov. 1. Applicants must have an arts background and be Washoe County residents. The application deadline is April 30. Application form here.

NEH announces 2 new relief grants

The National Endowment for the Humanities announced two new grant programs this month. One will provide emergency relief grants provide of up to $500,000 to cultural organizations and educational institutions. The other provides allocations of up to $5 million to grantmaking organizations to disseminate to their communities. The deadline for both is May 13. More info here.
