St. Mary’s Art Center is home to artist retreats, classes, fine art exhibitions, historical tours, special events, and so much more. Located in the former 1876 St. Marie Louise Hospital, this historic landmark is the perfect mix of fine art, education, history, and fun. Since 1964, St. Mary’s Art Center has been the arts cornerstone of Virginia City and is proudly the longest operating non-profit in Storey County.

St. Mary’s Art Center is located in the stunning historic 1876 former St. Marie Louise’s Hospital, filled with art galleries, historic exhibitions, classes, retreats, creative maker spaces, guest rooms, and more. Enjoy events, fine art, fun classes, and professional artist and writing retreats in picturesque Virginia City. This cornerstone property has been home to St. Mary’s Art Center since 1964.
