Katie is a highly practiced and internationally exhibited artist, her work has been shown in the Nevada Museum of Art, Museum Rijswijk in The Netherlands, San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, Stanford University and many more.
Katie is currently working on an exhibition in the Garage Door Gallery that implements systems to visualize the transformation of materials over time. She compiles data such as physical sensations in the body, the number of steps taken each day, or the manner individuals traverse through a landscape. Creating methods of data visualization, she uses materials such as paper, thread, sewing pins, or graphite.
She will be using the Garage Door Gallery as research and workspace for this month to produce an exhibition that will then be displayed in the gallery for the next month. The goal of this is to create a space for dialog and collaboration Both months are free and open to the public, stop by and say hello to Katie
The exhibition will run through March 24th.
