Feature Exhibit: MEMORANDUM (June 14th – June 30th / Artist meet & greet June 15th)

MEMORANDUM is a collection of ink and charcoal paintings which bring back to life over a dozen photo negatives from early 1900’s America. The photo negatives tell a relatable story with room to breathe. The ink and charcoal bring the story to life with chaotic brushwork… layering a depth which intrigues the imagination throughout these vast landscapes of the past. “From then to now… so the story goes.”

The exhibition in June will be the first full viewing of the Memorandum Collection with added interactive elements of poetry and sound. The location (The Basement) is site specific, honoring the integration of past to present. The Basement is a 1930’s old post office building which is now a collective space for small Reno Businesses. This project was made possible with the support of Nevada Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts.
