Digital Love: In Art + Tech
Art and Technology share a multifaceted, meaningful history of collaboration. Through reciprocal influence, they have evolved side by side to arrive in the world we live in today: a digital age where art and technology constantly intersect and reveal new ideas.
Inviting artists to explore futuristic styles of fantasy, glitch, and/or anime in 2D and 3D design. Works made with graphic design software such as Procreate and Adobe are highly encouraged, along with the design technology such as 3D printers, video editing software, and other “new media”.
This show will be juried by local artist Luis Varela-Rico, whose work is grounded in his Mexican American cultural heritage with the combined use of applied technology with industrial 3D design. He was a featured participant on Netflix’s original show, Metal Shop Masters.
