Art 298: Portfolio Emphasis – Spring 2022 Exhibition

The College of Southern Nevada, Department of Fine Arts will host an exhibition featuring the works of 18 student artists from CSN’s Art & Art History Program. Works featured in this exhibition are included as part of the program’s capstone experience and highlight the vast range of offerings within the CSN Art & Art History Program including ceramics, digital media, drawing, metal work, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Art 298: Portfolio Emphasis – Spring 2022 Exhibition will open Friday, May 6, 2022, and will run through Saturday, July 16, 2022. An Artist Reception with light refreshments will take place in the Artspace Gallery on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Art 298: Portfolio Emphasis – Spring 2022 Exhibition features the work of 18 student artists from the CSN Art & Art History Program. Works featured in this exhibition are included as part of the program’s capstone experience and highlight the vast range of offerings within the CSN Art & Art History Program including ceramics, digital media, drawing, metal work, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. The Art 298: Portfolio Emphasis – Spring 2022 Exhibition features student artists: Maverick Joshua Bautista, Nancy M. Boulton, Daniela Castaneda, Janet Castillo Preciado, Kiley Deane, Makenzie Derezotes, Max Krosta, Steven Lozada, Daniela Luna, Renee McHenry, Alana Mitchell, Cheyanne Outhone, Jesse Perez, Kimberly Pulido, Viviana Reveles, Vanessa Valdivia, Michelle Rose Walker, and Gabrielle Watson. Art 298 faculty include Professor Sean Russell, MFA, University of Nevada Las Vegas, and Professor Christopher Tsouras, MA & MFA, University of Wisconsin Madison.
The CSN Artspace Gallery is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The Artspace Gallery is upstairs above the main entrance lobby on the North Las Vegas campus located at 3200 E. Cheyenne Avenue, one-mile East of I-15 North.
