ARTIST STATEMENT I am a visual artist exploring a playful, yet reverent relationship to the world’s natural places. My abstract paintings and sculptures are nature-inspired and heavily drawn from traveling and exploring new landscapes. Through bold colors and abstract shapes, I strive to transport my viewer from the daily mundane to a fantastical place, if only for a moment. My goal is to provide viewers with an uplifting and contemplative experience that strengthens their own relationship with nature, in the hope that they will become better stewards of it. BIO Ashley Genevieve Gottlieb is a visual artist based in Reno, Nevada. Through bright, playful, and abstract paintings and sculptures, she explores an intuitive connection to nature and seeks to visually represent her affinity for wild, yet calming spaces.
